From late winter, the cranes begin to re-establish pair bonds in anticipation of the approaching nesting season. The birds are wonderful to watch as they perform their elegant displays which involve a lot of jumping and wing flapping accompanied by excited bugling calls making for one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles.
