In the afternoon we moved to the woodland drinking/bathing hide. In hot dry weather this hide can be extremely productive, but as we arrived and settled in, so did the rain. At first, a few birds were visiting but the rain got progressively heavier until Janos "rescued" us at 15.30 by which time we had not seen a bird of any sort for an hour or more.
