We were very fortunate to have the opportunity for a circumnavigation cruise around Svalbard (AKA Spitzbergen) which lies well to the North of the Norwegian mainland. The scarcity of sea ice this summer enabled us to each beyond 80 degrees North and to experience the amazing scenary and wildlife of the Arctic.
