Taken in the garden. I have been attempting to train/encourage the woodpeckers to perch on an old log before going to my feeders. This has worked quite well but visits are very spasmodic. Probably the weather has been too mild for the birds to need the sunflower seeds and fat balls I provide for them. Photographing through the double glazed windows does not help the image quality but at least I can keep warm indoors while waiting for the birds to appear.
