First stop on this trip was at Kaamanen in Northern Finland at a rustic but warm and comfortable lodge. The bird feeders here attract some highly sought after birds, the most important being Pine Grosbeak. These are virtually impossible to see let alone photograph in the vast boreal pine forests but the plentiful supply of sunflower seeds was enough to bring the birds within camera range.
