Japanese Macaque

Japanese Macaque

Nagano, Honshu, Japan

Japan in winter is a top destination for any wildlife photographer and my trip in February 2015 certainly lived up to expectations. First stop via the quot;bullet trainquot; was Nagano in the Japanese alps to photograph the famous quot;Snow Monkeysquot;. They are very well known for their habit of bathing in natural thermal pools to warm up after the bitterly cold nights that they must endure as the worlds most Northerly dwelling primates.
